Position Overview: We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Manual Tester (Fresher) to join our QA team. This is an entry-level role, ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are passionate about ensuring the quality and functionality of software products. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for identifying and reporting bugs, performing functional and non-functional testing, and ensuring that applications meet the required standards before they are released. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn about software testing methodologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and grow your career in quality assurance.

Test Case Design and Execution: Design, develop, and execute test cases based on the requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functionalities.

Functional Testing: Perform functional testing on web and mobile applications to ensure that all features and functionalities work as expected.

Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.

Bug Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and report bugs, inconsistencies, and defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla), ensuring they are clearly described and prioritized.

Test Documentation: Prepare detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test execution reports, to ensure clarity and reproducibility.

Cross-browser and Cross-platform Testing: Conduct testing across different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and operating systems to ensure compatibility and consistency.

Collaboration with Development Teams: Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand the product requirements, clarify ambiguities, and communicate findings effectively.

Exploratory Testing: Perform exploratory testing to identify potential edge cases and uncover issues that may not be covered by formal test cases.

Retesting and Verification: Verify that reported bugs have been fixed by developers and ensure that no new issues have been introduced after the resolution.

User Interface Testing: Ensure that the user interface is intuitive, accessible, and functions as expected across various devices and screen sizes.

Learning and Adaptation: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in manual testing and software quality assurance to ensure that your testing methods evolve with industry standards.

Basic Understanding of Software Testing: Familiarity with basic software testing concepts such as test cases, test plans, test scripts, test execution, and defect tracking.

Test Management Tools: Exposure to test management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools used for tracking and managing bugs.

Cross-browser and Cross-platform Testing: Understanding of how to conduct testing across different browsers and platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance.

Basic Understanding of SDLC and STLC: Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), as well as where manual testing fits into these processes.

Documentation Skills: Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and documentation to effectively communicate findings.

Basic Understanding of Testing Types: Awareness of different testing types such as functional testing, regression testing, user interface testing, smoke testing, and exploratory testing.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to think critically and analytically to identify potential defects and understand their impact on the application.

Bug Reporting: Basic knowledge of how to report bugs clearly and systematically, ensuring that they can be reproduced and understood by developers.

Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in front-end development, React.js, or web development would be advantageous but are not mandatory

Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing personal projects, internship work, or academic projects demonstrating proficiency in front-end development and React.js.
